Why are trailers made?
On the film site Film Space they talk about how there are several elements to a marketing campaign for a film, from the trailer to the poster or public transport, to online and viral marketing. The marketing campaign is designed to raise awareness and interest in a film in advance of its cinema release. The site provided three trailers to watch, and you had to guess based on the titles what clues are there about the content of the film, what genre etc.
1. The Red Turtle is a animation fantasy.
2. Churchill is a biopic.
3. Spiderman Homecoming is a superhero action adventure blockbuster.
